I performed my first operations in October 1991 in Venice, working alongside Prof. Gregorio Babighian.
A lifelong music lover, I have devoted my professional life to giving people who have never heard them the sound of voices and of the world around them.
In April 2025 I had the great honour of receiving the Gold Medal for Merit in Public Health from the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, for teaching surgical techniques for childhood deafness and cochlear implantation in many countries in Europe and beyond, including India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iran, Palestine and Israel.
